I've been stuck in LIMBO, mainly placed there by
judgmental people who just won't open their eyes
or at least be somewhat open-minded. Let me start
off by saying I am black. I am filipino. I've
dealt my whole life not fitting into either
categories because "I'm not black because I'm
mixed with something else," or the famous, "You
don't look black." From the Asians I get, "You're
skin is too dark to be asian," or "You're not
fluent in tagalog." Now... even in the gay
community it's the same story. I am a strong
individual but this mess gets too tiring. I love
blacks. I love asians. I love culture in general.
Of course everyone can't be like me or have the
ears and attentiveness to express such qualities
but history plays such a major factor in all of
these background stories. 

Asians equivocate
"white people" to wealth and the "paleness" of
their skin as the "status quo." Throughout time
itself, one was less suppressed based off the
color of their skin. "Darker skin" equivocated to
"low social status's" "lack of wealth" etc.


I'm not trying to gain sympathy or any
situation that I've been through because it only
makes me stronger but I just want open minded
educated people to be aware of OUR/MY struggle
too. The past most DEFINITELY effects the future
and that's been my life's story and perhaps your
story as well.

I never asked to be mixed but I
wouldn't change it...for nobody. I am who I am. I
am what I am. I embrace who I am. I embrace who
you are.
