I'm reading a lot of complains in threads about coworkers and how black gay life for MOST of you all seems to be a challenge.....but maybe....just maybe....it has more to do with your LOCATION.....as in the city you are in....

So my question to you...is....

In your opinion....based on the cities you've been to....or stories you have heard of,....what seems to be that 1 city or maybe 3 cities where black gay life seems to be EASIER......now ofcourse being a black gay man will never be easy but maybe a city can make it EASIER.....not just black gay men...but gay men of color in general.....

I'll be mentioning a few regs as this forum progresses....talk to me BGC.....

Which city is LIT?

I liked Lusaka, Zambia, because it is not homophobic like some countries in Africa, and the people all look like me, and the guys are gorgeous, and black men walk around holding hands without being suspect. I had a great 3-bedroom house there, on a huge lot, that I loved.

DC, London, Amsterdam, Paris are cool I guess. Big cities have lots of options.

But I felt most at home in Lusaka.

Maastricht, the Netherlands was also really comfortable university town, but not enough gay black men, but tons of interested white gay men.

I haven't had any problems since I moved here to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex area nearly two years ago. In my hometown in Louisiana I received lots of hatred and eyes that were like daggers and I'd be minding my own business and people would make negative comments. I remember one time I'm in the mall purchasing shoes and the guys in the store act as if me being gay was contagious and didn't want to assist me but had time to make remarks under their breath and snicker amongst themselves which is very sad and childish.

Paris or Berlin.

All of the Black men I met in Berlin were coons.
I was fetishized a lot in the clubs by the white men, so I guess if that's your definition of "best" ...

Paris or Berlin.

Really?.....

Care to expand on as to why that is.....

I hear they despise Black immigrants in Paris and we all know Germany is was truly the first to promote grand scale racism via Hitler.......that is....if you're paying attention to global news and the history books....

I would say Amsterdam and London for sure based on EXPERIENCE...but Paris and Berlin?....yeah man....I don't know about those two.....especially Germany....I don't even want to visit Germany and I honestly don't care for german culture besides their cars lmao.....but I'll go to Paris....yes....

Also, I'd prefer for us to limit this discussion to American cities.....

But please explain.....

IDK...perhaps they sense that shitty attitude of yours? Never had much of an issue in either of those cities. But not all of us suffer from Inferiority Complexes.

That shitty attitude you just threw out apparently just came right back at you and now it's spread all over that font, I see.

I think in most cases.....
Wherever you have richer and more richer blacks, life as a gay man would be easier.....because richer and more educated ppl are far more relaxed when it comes to homosexuality....

The Dallas area has a lot of black wealth and highly educated blacks so I can see why you're doing better in Dallas.....GOOD FOR YOU...

Do you plan on moving anywhere else any time soon?

Depends on your reasoning and what you seeking in life, I think overall the job market in a capitalistic society is always gonna have its ups and downs and its a matter of timing, being in the right place at the right time. education is easily accessible, competition is no longer objective, highly subjective and on paper there is 100's of 'you' applying for the same position.

Having partied in other cities like miami south beach and l.a I find ATL to be overhyped .....just a bunch of drug using, ghetto trap music, clouds of smoke everywhere ..not my scene...I like to breath clean air ^_^

But would u return the favor & only quote me when u are not shitting on black men.

U & @_Cosber_ be trashing us for every black woman that sick or has the flu, it's because they were victimized by a black man sneezing or coughing, even if he covered his mouth & nose up.

I know u told me to stop quoting, but let me allow a defense.

I thought the was an "In one ear & out the other" conversation, didn't think of taking it with a grain of salt. Apparently, I made wrong assumption.
