If im part of the primary source.. why would i fear it?
. . . .
. . . .i tink the gawd of the old testes has a more overarchin theme of fear and punitive consequences and the gawd of the new testes... The more Christian ish? Emphasizes on love and forgiveness....
. . . .
. . . .. . . .
Ask god? He is quite emphatic in the bible that he requires humans to fear him?
The Prime Mover doesnt require or need fear. Its absolutely ridiculous to think it does.
God is gender neutral btw..or so ive come to conclude.
A pure infinite energy wouldnt need somethin as basic as gender
Every time I ask one of these questions about why what I was taught as a child about my former religion is so contradictory to the bible the Christians ignore it. The only one who always responds is Ahamoment but I'm familiar with his new age version of Christianity and its very from from what is in the actual bible.
I should have stated that this question is directed at Christians, excluding new age Christians.
Im not a new age christian.
Lets make that clear right now. My second post was technically my exit.
I just had to get a couple things off.
YOU'VE PROBABLY ASKED EVERYBODY EXCEPT WHO YOU NEEDED TO....
You clearly do not view the bible as your ultimately earthly authority. Most New age Christians do not view themselves as such. Once you start describing the Christian God as energy and denying his gender that is mentioned many times in the bible, including by Jesus, you enter new age territory.
I constantly see the Christians here talk about god is love. The bible is full of God telling people to fear him. The bible constantly states that the way to understand and follow god\'s law is to fear him. Why do Christians seem so obsessed with stating their love for God but down playing the fear he seems to demand?
Ahamoment please don't respond.
And who would that be. As an atheist I view it appropriate to ask people about their relationship with their religion. I'm realizing that most of the Christians on here do not have a strong relationship with the bible. I can understand that. When I was Christian I also had a weak relationship with the bible. When I tried to strengthen that relationship I was so appalled I lost my faith.
SO YOU'VE ASKED MEMBERS OF CLERGY??
